Our Unique Approach

Teko Sports Foundation (TSF) is a fully registered, charitable, and non-profit indigenous organization headquartered in Gulu City, Northern Uganda but also operates nationwide. Officially incorporated on April 8, 2025 (Registration No: 80034915013327), TSF was founded on the belief that sport can be a powerful force for social transformation.

We work at the intersection of sports, development, and community empowerment – designing programs that go beyond the field to address real-life challenges.

Our Mission

To build a Uganda where sports and games act as catalysts for a healthy, equitable, and sustainable society.

Our Vision

To empower communities and tackle critical challenges through innovative sports-based programs, fostering positive change in health and nutrition, food security and livelihood, environment, education, peace, and justice for all.

Our Goal

Empowering communities through sports.

Our Philosophy

We believe that:

  • Every game can teach a life skill
  • Every team can drive community change
  • Every win should benefit more than just the players

By aligning sports with development outcomes, we create systems that are both impactful and sustainable.

The Dual-Engine Model for Nutrition Security

We combine a Nutrition & Wellness Hub offering affordable health screenings with a Community Nutrition School that delivers free education and practical training through “Sports for Nutrition” gardens.

The 30/70 Scoring System

Our leagues prioritize community transformation:

  • 30% sports performance
  • 70% measurable community impact

This ensures that success is defined by real-world change.

Pay-Forward Sustainability

We promote growth through shared responsibility:

  • Teams receive livelihood assets such as poultry or dairy units
  • Beneficiaries are required to train and support others

This creates a multiplier effect that strengthens entire communities.
